Some paintings know exactly what they want to be. This one fought me the entire way. I changed the background more times than I’d like to admit, but I refused to give up that weird, electric green. Then suddenly it made sense. Moody, messy, chunky and a little strange. Hidden quietly in the background, almost like a secret: don’t fence me in.
